Buongiorno Positano!! Imagine a Saturday breakfast in sunny Positano ... as the spring season will be starting anyway at Easter, this is what you can look forward to: If you go to the Amalfi Coast, why not stop in Positano in the morning and enjoy the moist and warm air coming up from the sea on a windstill morning, in the terrace garden of
La Zagara.

La Zagara cafe in Positano in early spring: located in the midst of a citrus grove, just above the main beach of Positano |
La Zagara is a café built into a citrus grove, with a tile-covered terrace shrouded by twigs and pergolas of lemon and kiwi trees. Which means that the sun rays come sparkling through the dark green leafs and blossoming twigs.

In particular from mid-April I love stopping there and inhale the marvelous scent of the
zagare - the citrus blossoms which are tiny and pale yellow and white. This is what they look like, and this is the ambiente you can expect for breakfast.

A ridosso del mare - situated just above the main beach of the Spiaggia Grande, Positano's main beach, this is a restful way to start a Mediterranean morning, with coffee and lemon specialties alike. Try cappuccino and delizia al limone - lemon-flavored sponge cake with crema pasticcera and lemon cream, or another lemon specialty - the crostata al limone, again filled with crema pasticcera, a vanilla and lemon flavored rich butter cream.

Still, there are other local specialties which I will present later on as this blog develops.
